Just yesterday I said out loud, quite dreamily, “There MUST be something out there that will take my document files and convert them, say, like website software, and create the kind of files needed to then upload or export so I can do my own ebook.” And, like a message from the cyber-gods, I learned about PressBooks and YOU and your fabulous videos. I watched them all this morning. Is there a Lesson 4, though, that covers that next step which produces an epub file?? If so, where might I find it? Thanks so much for this series…it definitely made my day and I’m eager to try PressBooks.

Frank I’m using Camtasia. It’s a great tool and allows you to choose the output format.

What tools do you use to build your demo? I like the talking head overlay and the spinning screen capture! What is your workflow for HTML5 compatibility? (800 * 600 output?)

Hugh, It’s one of two things, I change the way I recorded this session slightly and I rendered directly to YouTube. I suspect it’s that I rendered to YouTube. I’ll try to re render as flash and see if that works any better. If it doesn’t I re-record it
